Franz Borghese was an Italian painter and sculptor, a protagonist of the artistic scene of the second half of the 20th century.
In his work he represents a bourgeoisie of the beginning of the century, with an ironic and fantastic vein which, the more sharp and bitter it is, the closer and more empathetic it is to human weakness, through a language and a poetics that rise to a universal metaphor.
Man with a top hat in a car. A work of sure collector's appeal.
